The Town of Wilbraham’s Board of Selectmen invites sealed bids from Demolition and Asbestos Contractors for Bid No. WILB-17-D3043 – Building Demolition / Special Waste Removal and Disposal of 2451 Boston Road, Wilbraham, MA 01095. Bidders must be certified by DCAM in the appropriate category (Demolition). Bids in sealed, opaque envelopes shall be marked “General Demolition” and delivered to the Town of Wilbraham, Selectmen’s Office, 240 Springfield Street, Wilbraham, MA 01095 by, no later than, 3:00 P.M. on July 14, 2017. The Selectmen’s Office time stamp clock is the official clock for bid receipt purposes. All bids will be publicly opened and read in the Selectmen’s Meeting Room, at 240 Springfield Street, Wilbraham, Massachusetts, at 3:15 P.M on July 14, 2017. A pre-bid walk-through has been scheduled for July 5, 2017 at 1:00 PM at the Site. Specifications will be available to all qualified bidders on June 28, 2017 via electronic mail or media from the Selectmen’s Office, weekdays between the hours of 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM. All qualified and eligible bidders may receive one free set of the specification package. Bids must be made in accordance with all applicable Federal, State and Town laws and regulations and must comply in all respects with the instructions, conditions, specifications and other requirements in the Invitation For Bid. Attention is called to the minimum wage rates to be paid on the work as determined by the Commissioner of Labor and Workforce Development and the Federal Labor Standards Provisions, where applicable. Bids and contracts are subject to the provisions of MGL c. 149 sec. 44A-M, inclusive as amended, and MGL c. 30, sec. 39M, and Chapter 193 of the Acts of 2004. All bids for each project must be accompanied by a bid deposit in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid amount and in the form of a bid bond, cash, or certified check, or a treasurer’s check or cashier’s check issued by a responsible bank or trust company, payable to the Town of Wilbraham. The successful contractor must provide a Labor and Materials or Payment Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, and a Performance Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price with a surety company satisfactory to the Awarding Authority. All bidders agree by submittal of a bid that they will abide by all applicable terms and provisions of the Government’s Non-Discrimination Clause and Small and/or Minority Business Clause, Executive Order No. 11246, as amended by Executive Order No. 11375.
